We invite you to view our Curriculum Scope & Sequence , the Spiritual Nutrients within the curriculum, and the Children's Ministry Programs through which we deliver God’s truth to the children. Week-by-week lessons can be viewed using the links at the bottom of this page.
First… a note about children’s curriculum at Grace EPC.
Among Moses’ final words in the book of Deuteronomy came this reminder:
“Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law. They are not just idle words for you - they are your life.” Deuteronomy 32:46-47
Children’s ministry is about passing these words of life on to the next generation. God’s Word reveals His truth, and God’s people are the agents who deliver it. Curriculum and ministry programs are a means to this end: proclaiming God’s truth. Curriculum is a tool in the hands of teachers who share God’s truth with the next generation.
We believe that curriculum and teaching are most honoring to God when they are God-centered, that is, when they show Him to be the main focus of Scripture. Furthermore, curriculum and teaching equip children to interpret the Bible as they begin to read it for themselves.
Our curriculum has been selected with the hope that young children will develop a working knowledge of Bible stories, and then, as they grow, thread these stories together to understand the entire picture of God’s plan of redemption. Our prayer is that Biblically literate children will grow to be a generation of faithful Christians.
