Five Loaves House
Where can a homeless, mentally ill woman safely live in Lawrence? One answer for two women has been the Five Loaves House, a ministry of Grace EPC. A member of Grace donated the use of a house here in town, and volunteers have taken it from there.
Both women are able to live on their own with the help of the local mental health system, but neither had the resources. Women from Grace regularly befriend them, Grace people help with the maintenance and upkeep of the house, other volunteers operate a "community garden" on the property, and God is definitely at work in the lives of people.
