VBS MISSION TRIP

This is “mission trip meets summer camp” for a full week.  We teach our youth that missional living starts right here in our back yard as we give them the opportunity to serve our church by helping with Grace’s VBS program.  Our middle school students will spend the week serving kids at VBS, then after lunch each day we bus out to a camp outside Lawrence for camp-style activities (games, free time, sessions, campfires).  We then bus back to Lawrence to serve at VBS and do that for the entire week.  On Thursday of that week, instead of going out to camp after VBS, we take the group to Worlds of Fun.  Students will go home that night, then come back for one final morning of serving at VBS on Friday.  This year, the trip is open to rising 7-9thgraders.  The cost is $225/person.

ST. LOUIS MISSION TRIP

This trip is for high school students to serve in partnership with New City Fellowship Church (PCA) in University City, MO.  We participate in their summer “Workday” program that consists of tutoring kids in a morning summer school program, doing work projects in the afternoon, then hosting Bible Clubs at night in a local park.  We stay in dormitory-style rooms on the campus of the church.  This trip challenges our students to know what it looks like to seek justice, reconciliation, and serve widows, orphans and refugees in various parts of St. Louis.  It’s open to rising 9-12th graders and the cost is $575/person.
